About the Extra Program

AYSO EXTRA is designed to provide a more challenging level of play for those players who possess the appropriate interest, skills, and abilities. EXTRA also enhances each player's experience and individual growth through the game of soccer while retaining the spirit and organization of AYSO. Unlike the standard Fall season, EXTRA teams will be formed for a one-year period competing against other EXTRA teams throughout AYSO Section 1 in both the Fall and Spring seasons as well as tournament play in the Spring and early Summer. The teams are designed to stay together year-round with tryouts occurring in the Spring for divisions 10U-14U. This program is geared toward the top 10-15% of players in each eligible division. Registration fees will be TBD (min-$350) for the year and include a home and away uniform kit, practice kit, warm-ups & a bag.

Extra Player Application

If you have a child interested in playing in an extremely competitive environment, please consider participating in EXTRA. If you are interested, please register your child in the 2026-2027 AYSO EXTRA Program AND attend at least one day of tryouts. This is a great program with guaranteed playing time(min 50% of the game) and player development at a very good price. Please help us spread the word about AYSO EXTRA in Hemet and we’ll see you at tryouts!

Please also sign your child up on the 2026 Fall Core Waitlist. We do not want your child to miss out on playing in any of the programs. If your child makes the Extra team they will be removed from the 2026 Fall Core program by the Registrar or Regional Commissioner.

Player/Parent Commitments

Time
-1- year term commitment prioritized above all other non academic activities
-2 practices per week
-Arrive on time for practices and games, including warmups
-Extra Fall season begins August and ends January-March
-CSL Spring season (club circuit) and/or Tournaments January through the end of May.
Financial
-TBD Min-$325+$25 NPF Due at Registration in May/June. There are no refunds
-Includes home/away kits, practice kit, warm ups and bag
-Tournament fees (parent paid or fundraised)
Travel
-5/6 Home games and 5/6 Away games
-EXTRA plays in circuits throughout Sections 1, 10 and 11
Volunteer
-Each player must provide one relative or friend to volunteer
-Extra teams must fill 3 referee spots per home game
-Extra teams must also provide 3 hours of a tent volunteer per home game
Dismissal
-Players, parents, and coaches shall exemplify the highest standard of AYSO's Six Philosophies
-Removal from the team may result from poor practice attendance, habitually arriving late or missing games, poor sportsmanship, poor behavior by spectators present on the players behalf, or persistent disrespectful behavior towards coaches, parents, players or referees
-Players are required to return all gear in the event of leaving the team before the completion of the 1-year commitment
